Local November Coalition

Who are we?
We are a growing body of citizens whose lives have been gravely affected by our government's present drug policy. We are drug war prisoners, their loved ones and others who know our anti-drug policies will never give us an America drug free, only an America less free. The drug war has corrupted our criminal justice system and caused far more social damage than the drugs it tries to control.

What is our mission?
Secure the release of drug war prisoners - as many as possible, as soon as possible- and strip the drug war of its capacity to incarcerate. The longer these people remain in prison, the more the social damage to them, to their families and to the freedoms guaranteed to Americans.

What is our strategy?
The first is to expose the official dishonesty of the drug war. We have an abiding faith in the fairness of ordinary Americans and that when they know the truth they will demand change. Secondly, we offer support to drug prisoners and their families to the extent possible and encourage them to join us in speaking out against the destructiveness and uselessness of the drug war.
