We hope our families know us well enough to decide which medical treatments to select or refuse in the event we are ever unable to decide and communicate our wishes for ourselves. The legislature thinks these decisions are theirs to make. Maybe each of us can decide for ourselves and create a living will. And recording it on video will make your intentions clear.
